 About

Our Mission:

To provide social, recreational, cultural, educational programs to underprivileged children from while emphasizing community service involvement to help improve their well-being, realize their dreams, conviction about their own potential, and become productive members of society.

Each week, over a million children in United States missed out on their childhood as a result of poverty, abuse and neglect. They face becoming adults with limited skills and more vulnerable to exploitation, abuse, violence, discrimination and stigmatization. They have strengths and weaknesses, needs and worries just like all kids do. Living in an environment that provides little stimulation or emotional support to children inhibits the development of vital social skills as well as community support and interaction. Believing that all children deserve the opportunity to lead fulfilling lives, United4Music reaches out to these children who clearly do not benefit from their place in society.

While these programs are important areas of focus, values such as discipline, self-respect, self-confidence, cooperation and teamwork, respect for others, accountability and dedication are just some of the vital lessons they will learn from the organization. It is our hope that by positive example, we will foster positive attitudes among children in the community.

 Mary Gorder
Founder’s Notes

After September 11, 2001 , America witnessed an outpouring of selflessness and heroism. People in every corner of the country asked, “What can I do?” and “How can I help?” United4Music was created to help answer these questions. Millions of children today spend more time in front of television, computer and video screen than joining programs and physical activities that helps them maintain a healthy body and make a difference in the community. Some of them may be neglected, abused, and unable to see their own potential. Worst of all, many of them will never know that there is HOPE.

United4Music was founded to pursue the fulfillment of the social, cultural needs of these children while emphasizing community service involvement to help them create a real and lasting change, learn the value and the fun of sharing experiences with caring adults to serve as mentors and models. which I believe is a fundamental part of their development.

I would also like to thank you for you continued support and know that you can truly make a difference.
